A conscientious way to make money with more ease #mejane

As a business owner, making money can feel hard – and sometimes it IS hard.

But – are you making it harder than it needs to be?

I believe so, yes.

There are many examples of how this may be happening for you.

You could be:

  • undercutting your value
  • giving up on potential clients too quickly
  • over relying on, and hiding behind, email communications
  • putting too much pressure on yourself to get new and different clients
  • leaving money on the table by missing opportunities right in front of you
  • putting your health and self-care on the backburner

In my work as a coach and consultant, I help my clients stop their money leaks and bring more ease to this key part of their business.

In my toolkit are many ways to make money with more ease.

I want to share with you one of my favourites and I believe one of the most conscientious, genuine and effective ways to make money with more ease.

Have real conversations with your potential clients.

Most business owners fall into a trap of overusing email and texting as primary forms of communication with potential clients.

Sales can feel scary for many people and it can feel “safer” to use these tools. 

However, email and texting are one-way tools of communication. Essentially, you send a message to another person and have no idea when or if they will respond and certainly don’t know how they took that message or if they understood it as you intended.

You are not having an actual conversation. 

You are sending a message like a tennis shot, waiting for them to respond. Then, the trap is you waste your precious time and energy by playing a guessing game with what they “must” be thinking.

That’s exhausting, draining and way harder than it needs to be.

Instead, get out from behind these tools and have real conversations. 

Face-to-face is ideal. Video and phone work well too. 

These are two-way tools of communication, which means you send a message and can see and hear their response.

You can check in for mutual understanding. 

These old-school, simple ways of communication are actual conversations. 

These are a shortcut to attracting revenue because it is much easier and faster to get a feel for where they’re at and make an invitation to help them. 

You are no longer wasting energy by guessing.

You are bringing back the human element into your business. 

And by doing so, you are making it easier to attract revenue in your business – with much more ease.
